Alon is a Founding Partner of Draper Goren Holm, a Venture Studio focused on accelerating and incubating early-stage blockchain startups. Alon is also Co-Founder of LA Blockchain Summit. He is an investor, speaker, hostand leader of one of Southern California’s largest group of investors and entrepreneurs, 805 Startups, with a laser-focussed eye on building and supporting startups and entrepreneurs. A pioneer in the crowdfunding space, Alon had been involved in over $200 Million Dollars in online investment transactions. He has developed technology that powers websites and financial transactions for Fortune 500 companies and well-known foundations such as Coca-Cola, American Express, ATB Financial and Global Philanthropy Group. InvestedIn, Alon’s previous company, created a white label fundraising portal for individuals and businesses hoping to crowdfund ventures independently of major platforms. Later, his support of the JOBS Act, online media expertise and day-to-day interactions with venture funds, investors and financial professionals inspired him to create a solution to market hedge funds, real estate funds and venture funds to investors over the internet.
Alex Cohen is a senior news editor at Cointelegraph. Has a degree in political science and a master’s in management from the London School of Economics. Initially working as a TV journalist, he then became an editor at several fintech publications. He is passionate about new technology and wine.
Ksenia Sussman is the Founder and CEO of a legal and business advisory firm, LATTUDE, as well as a member of the Board of Directors of Neos Equity Group, a specialty investment business. In her legal practice at LATTUDE, she handles a wide variety of cross-functional legal and compliance matters relating to commercial, transactional, and regulatory activities of regulated financial services entities and technology providers. The firm specializes in areas of blockchain and digital assets, markets transactions, commercial and corporate law, and private M&A. In her prior roles, Ms. Sussman served as General Counsel of BitOoda Holdings, LLC, a FinTech startup that focuses on digital assets execution services, risk management, and market analysis. As in-house counsel at Barclays PLC, Ms. Sussman advised on a broad spectrum of transactional and regulatory matters of the investment banking business. Ms. Sussman has several published articles with Law.com and has been featured as a speaker on multiple occasions. Ksenia is an avid philanthropist and currently sits on the Associate Board of Immigration Equality.
David is a serial entrepreneur and crypto asset investor. His background in real estate finance offers a unique perspective to the crypto space. With a business degree from the University of Michigan, David began his career in commercial real estate. He joined his brother and father in metro Detroit where he led acquisitions and developed Bleznak Group’s fundraising platform. Leveraging his deep understanding of finance, business administration and software development he generated extraordinary cash-on-cash returns for investors in excess of 50% among retail, industrial and multifamily investments. David saw opportunity in the blockchain space with the maturation of the Ethereum Foundation in 2014 and began to diversify his real estate earnings. His frustration with the lack of existing crypto asset administration software led him to pursue development of Totle.
Rebecca Rettig is a partner in FisherBroyles’ Litigation Department, and is Co-Chair of the Firm’s FinTech & Blockchain practice group. Recognized in 2019 as one of the top 100 women lawyers in New York City by Crain’s New York Business, Rebecca’s practice encompasses a broad range of litigation, such as securities, shareholder derivative, general commercial, contract disputes, copyright and trademark disputes, employment disputes, among others. Rebecca represents clients in all stages of litigation, and has served as trial counsel in cases and arbitrations around the country. Rebecca’s practice includes unique experience in the blockchain and digital asset space. She represents and advises clients in matters relating to U.S. and state-specific regulation, intellectual property, trade secrets and contracts, as well as offering and trading practices. In this space, Rebecca’s clients include a multi-billion-dollar asset manager, a Fortune 100 technology company, a digital asset trading platform, VC-backed DeFi companies, as well as traders and investors.
Musa Sulejmani is a patented software engineer and data scientist. He’s a full stack engineer with a focus in data science. Ranging from med tech and fintech to data SAAS companies, he’s built technology for startups who’ve raised over $10M and is licensing technology to publicly traded technology companies being used by billions of users monthly.
Medha Parlikar is the CTO of CasperLabs. She has spent more than two decades in management and software engineering where she was responsible for the creation and delivery of software products. Before co-founding CasperLabs in the fall of 2018 she was Sr. Dir. Content & Engineering at Avalara, Sr. Mgr. of Quality Control at Adobe and Dir. QA at MP3.com. Her specialties include in Blockchain, Content Delivery, Analytics, Product engineering, and Cloud computing.
Marc is a partner in the FinTech and Blockchain practice group of FisherBroyles, LLP. Marc represents leaders in blockchain and other distributed ledger technologies and digital currencies that operate businesses in a broad number of industries, including ad tech, ecommerce, energy, healthcare, mobile apps, music, payment systems, real estate, and video games.
Adel is a technologist and a serial entrepreneur with two successful technology companies taken from inception to acquisition. He has proven executive experience with a solid track record in startups and public companies including HealthStream, WebDBTech, InVivoLink, HealthTrust, and UtilizeHealth. He also actively participates in a few blockchain, AI, and healthcare startups including legal alignment, Accelerate Insite, and under the radar: GarmentChain, HealthReasoning. Academically, he holds a Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning Natural Language Processing, with a dozen published papers and an award-winning blockchain paper from The World Academy of Science Engineering and Technology. He regularly moderates panels and speaks at relevant events. Adel enjoys working on DeFi, blockchain token economics, protocol design, and platform architecture with a focus on applied AI. When not playing mad scientist or mining ethereum, he is out biking with his son or deep ocean diving.
A passionate advocate for financial inclusion, economic development, and a former Finance and Business Executive at IBM, Carmelle is now the founder and CEO of EMTECH, a Fintech For The Modern Central Bank . The company recently launched a new initiative, Project New Dawn, which presents "A Digital Cash Infrastructure For All" concept to address the underbanked problem in the U.S. With former regulators, technology experts and innovators as Advisors, Carmelle is building a portfolio of modern central bank software that delivers a more inclusive and resilient financial infrastructure. For the last 3 years, Carmelle worked on Digital Currency technologies and strategies for the purpose of addressing financial inclusion and lowering the cost of cross border payments. As a thought leader in the Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) space, Carmelle engages with Central Banks from Africa to the Caribbean to enable their transition to the digital currency era in an inclusive way. A native of Haiti, she speaks French and Creole. Carmelle was also selected as an Inspiring Fintech Females 2019 by NYC Fintech Women, and is considered a pioneer in her field.
Jesse is a builder who has been hands on developing a number of non-fungible token (NFT) products that you may already be familiar with. He co-founded Mintable, Ethereum’s first no-code solution for minting NFTs and is the creator of Bullionix, a dapp that enables anyone to transform gold-backed stable coins into beautiful 3D digital collectibles. Jesse is currently building Aavegotchi, the ultimate gamified DeFi experience.
Matthew is the director of business development at Loopring, a zkRollup protocol for scaling Ethereum exchanges and payments, and co-founder of Loopring Exchange, a high-performance, non-custodial exchange built atop the protocol. Loopring is Ethereum's first zkRollup, running on mainnet since December 2019. Prior to Loopring, he worked in sales and trading for a fixed income investment bank. Matthew is a CFA charterholder.
Christina Comben is a cryptocurrency journalist and content creator who’s passionate about continued learning, emerging tech, and starting important conversations. She has written for many publications in the space including CCN, CryptoSlate, and Bitcoinist, and is currently a feature writer for Cointelegraph Magazine and consultant for private blockchain companies.
A global serial entrepreneur and investor with 20 years of startup, growth hacking, business development and digital marketing experience. He has a passion for disruptive ideas, unconventional thinking, and a “screw it, let’s do it” attitude. Born and raised in Austria, Josef worked and lived in Vienna, Sydney, Berlin, Zurich and Panama before immigrating to the US in 2012 where he shortly after joined the booming fintech industry and since has launched three startups in the space. Josef was named a “Top 100 FinTech Influencer” by LTP, he has been very involved in the crowdfunding ecosystem. Josef frequently speaks at public events such as SXSW V2V, Social Media Week LA, Fundit USA, Metropole, #CFGE Crowdfund Global Expo, #Crowdfunding USA and Kickercon. In 2015 he founded Krowdster.co, the first do-it-yourself crowdfunding marketing, and PR SaaS. Krowdster’s powerful tools enable crowd funders to plan and to growth hack successful rewards and equity campaigns. In 2016, he co-founded the Crowd Invest Summit conference and expo which has become the biggest conference and expo in crowdfunding and online investing. In 2018, Josef co-founded LA Blockchain Summit.
Anna Stone is an accomplished leader at the intersection of social impact and emerging technologies, with a speciality in blockchain technologies. Anna is the Commercial Lead for GoodDollar.org, a social innovation initiative spun out of eToro.com that delivers global universal basic income to the world through leveraging decentralized finance protocols. Prior to GoodDollar, she served as the VP of Marketing at Bancor. Before moving into the blockchain and digital asset space, Anna's background is as growth and marketing leader for enterprise technology companies in the field of big data and artificial intelligence. Impact is close to her heart, and she began her career at the Clinton Foundation & Save the Children. She holds a MA in Global Political Economy and Business from the Fletcher School at Tufts University, and a BA in Philosophy from Dartmouth College.
Steven Becker is President and Chief Operating Officer of the Maker Foundation, the organization facilitating the development of MakerDAO. MakerDAO governs the Maker Protocol and Dai, the world’s first decentralized, collateral-backed stablecoin on the Ethereum blockchain. Dai mitigates volatility through an autonomous system of smart contracts called the Maker Protocol, and through decentralized community governance. An alternative investment professional with 20 years of experience, a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA), and a certified Financial Risk Manager (FRM) with the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP), Steven is responsible for all strategic business operations within the Maker Foundation.
Frederic Rough is the CEO of Coinsquad which is a portfolio company within Goren Holm Ventures and Draper Venture Network. Coinsquad is the first decentralized tech support service that runs on Hedera Hashgraph. Frederic also holds an Ambassadorship role with Hedera Hashgraph. He has a background in Information Security and enjoys teaching at the Oxford Institute of Technology. Yoda is a serial entrepreneur whose talent for developing effective ideas and solutions has resulted in successfully growing five companies and three successful exits. A few years ago, he relocated to Silicon Valley, CA and self-taught himself to speak fluent English. Besides a passion for startups, Yoda’s hobby is commercial real estate where once again, teaching himself and learning from other professionals, he has become an accomplished authority in the industry. Yoda’s current startup, Jointer.io, was started unintentionally after he built an algorithm for personal use to solve the problem of how to instantly identify the most lucrative CRE opportunities. Element Zero was started from Jointer’s need to provide its users a solution for stable, decentralized cryptocurrency swaps and payments. After in-depth reviews of existing currencies, Jointer concluded that none of the current currencies in the market were truly decentralized or 100% stable.

Michael is a co-founder and partner at Framework Ventures, a venture capital firm focused on building the value of blockchain networks through strategic investment and infrastructural support. Dara Albright possesses a distinguished 28-year career in financial services encompassing IPO execution, investment banking, trading, corporate communications, financial conference production as well as institutional and retail sales. Albright was one of the earliest voices covering the JOBS Act and advocating for greater democracy in the equity and credit markets. Albright has produced multiple conferences in the alternative finance space which has hosted some of the most prominent figures in the fintech industry as well as the legislature. Stani Kulechov is the Founder and CEO of Aave, an open source and non-custodial money market protocol to earn interest on deposits and borrow assets. Stani was studying law at the University of Helsinki when he first got into Ethereum and he started exploring how it could impact the traditional financial system. In 2017, Stani released ETHLend, one of the first DeFi DApps ever. Since then, he has made it his mission to create tools for an open, transparent, and equitable financial ecosystem through Aave Protocol.
Aaron Wright is a Clinical Professor at Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, where he directs the Cardozo Blockchain Project and other technology programs. Professor Wright's research focuses on smart contracts and the regulation of blockchain-based systems. His first book, Blockchain and the Law: The Rule of Code (Harvard University Press, co-authored with Primavera De Filippi) was published in 2018. His other academic works have appeared in publications from Oxford University Press and the Hastings Law Journal. Professor Wright has testified before Congress on issues related to blockchain technology and his work has been reviewed by the The New York Times and excerpted in Slate. As a technologist, Professor Wright is the co-founder of OpenLaw and has helped bring together The LAO.
Nisa Amoils is a partner at Grasshopper Capital investing in fintech/Blockchain/Defi/Crypto, and has been an early stage investor for the past decade before. She was named one of Business Insider’s Women VC’s to watch and top 100 Women in Fintech, and top 50 global Blockchain thinkers. She is a former corporate and securities lawyer and on the Boards of several institutions including Wharton Entrepreneurship. Ting Peng comes from a political science background and is a former university lecturer. She’s passionate about how Bitcoin and blockchain technology can empower people and help businesses transform in the new era. She has an entrepreneurial spirit and has joined several fintech startups since 2017. She speaks fluent Chinese, English, and Korean, and is currently based in Italy where she’s pursuing her dream to become a corporate communication specialist.
With over 20 years of experience in software development, marketing and sales, Karen is co-inventor of 5 patents. At BlockCypher, she worked with startups and enterprises to create payments, trading, energy and healthcare applications that interoperated across blockchains. She started BlockchainIntel to motivate people to use and trust blockchains. Before joining the blockchain industry, she led Data Quality, Integration and Analytics projects at companies such as Informatica and startups acquired by SAP and IBM. Nate Hindman is the Head of Growth at Bancor Protocol, an on-chain liquidity protocol that enables automated, decentralized exchange on Ethereum and across blockchains. The protocol is made up of a series of automated market-maker (AMM) smart contracts designed to pool liquidity and perform peer-to-contract conversions. Since launching, Bancor has been used to process billions in trade volume, with millions in fees generated by 1000s of unaffiliated users who act as liquidity providers.
Alex Wearn is the Co-founder and CEO of IDEX, the only cryptocurrency exchange that does not compromise performance or security. He’s spent his career in software development, including time at a marketing analytics startup that was acquired by IBM, and as an analytics PM for Adobe. Prior to IDEX he led the product management efforts for Amazon Logistics’ capacity planning. He’s been hacking on crypto startups since 2014, transitioning full-time with the launch of IDEX in 2017.
Blake Richman is an investor and entrepreneur focused on building fintech solutions for the next generation of private capital markets. He currently serves as VP of Finance at Vertalo, a leading data management platform connecting and enabling the digital asset ecosystem. Blake invested in Vertalo while at NovaBlock Capital, a blockchain-based capital market infrastructure focused venture fund, where he previously served as Chief Investment Officer and remains a Partner. Blake entered the blockchain world while serving at Hercules Capital (NYSE: HTGC), a $2.3B public BDC, where he assisted with the structuring and underwriting of $135M in debt and equity transactions. Blake has previously held various positions in venture capital, asset management, and debt capital markets, and holds a BA in Economics from University of Maryland.
Andrey Belyakov is a member of the CFA Institute, a professional derivative trader and fund manager with ten years of experience with 30 billion EUR AUM portfolios. He is the founder of the Opium Team, The Art Exchange, and a private venture investor.
